Suzuki team boss Paul Denning, was pleased with the performance of Alvaro Bautista at the German GP Sunday (7/17/11), due to finish in seventh. He said the result is a good development, and suggests that the squad they were getting close to the speed of the teams in front.
In the race at the Sachsenring circuit, Bautista beat two Ducati riders, Nicky Hayden and Valentino Rossi, to occupy the seventh position. Bautista, who had an accident during warm-ups, behind the four Honda motorcycles and two Yamaha motorcycles.
"I think we showed it at the weekend in Sachsenring - a track that is very difficult for Suzuki -, where the GSV-R and the rider has made a good move in 2011 - despite having bad luck at the start of the season because of injury, "Denning said.
"Accidents spur when his motorcycle in high speed, the natural Alvaro at the end of the warming, not the ideal preparation for facing a race, and it may have little effect in achieving a top speed for him. But he still showed the best and drove well to entertain , and appear aggressive in 30 laps, "he added
