Lorenzo Felt Lucky in Second Place at Laguna Seca

Yamaha rider must be satisfied to complete the race in second place after lose maintain the leading position from the threat of Casey Stoner.

Lorenzo was not disappointed. It is closely related to the incidence of crashes experienced in the last free practice session before reaching the pole.

"I was lucky to finish second this weekend because after the crash yesterday morning, at first I even thought could not take part in the race," said Lorenzo in Autosport.

Having recorded a best time in qualifying, Lorenzo obviously hoping to win all at once. But when finally smoked Stoner, he admitted defeat despite some notes about his physical condition.

"Sometimes hope is not the same as reality, and today Casey faster than us, especially at the end. He has something we do not have."

"Besides my physical condition is also not perfect, so all the aspects that makes us pretty slow at the end of the race. The second position is not okay. 20 points behind Casey in the championship. We will try another time," said Lorenzo.
