Rossi Miss Burgess Touch

Monday, July 25, 2011

Valentino Rossi had to undergo the last two series without a trusty mechanic, Jeremy Burgess. Been missed with the results of Burgess polish on his bike, Rossi was hoping he'd be back there this weekend.

Burgess, who has been a crew boss took Rossi's seven-time MotoGP world champion, Mick Doohan (5) and Wayne Gardner (1), absent from the Rossi at Mugello and Sachsenring. He must return to Australia to accompany his wife who was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Winner of nine world championship motorcycle racing do not know what to do against the Ducati GP11.1 mount. Peak helplessness "The Doctor" looks at the Sachsenring, where he collapsed during qualifying in 16th position during the race and could only crawl into the ninth. This is the worst result of 32-year-old rider, in his debut season with Ducati in 2011.

So now Rossi, who had missed the presence of Burgess and on his motorcycle, was very hopeful of mechanics and his old friend that was to be joined again this weekend at Laguna Seca.

"We really miss Jerry as we have been together for over ten years, so he really knows what I need and how to do it," I Rossi at MCN.

"But I think Jerry is going with us again at Laguna later," continued the Italian rider.
