Confirmed Rossi Will be Using GP11.1 in Laguna Seca

A few days ago Valentino Rossi has not decided which will use the motor for the race at Laguna Seca. But now The Doctor confirms that he will use GP11.1.

Despite using the chassis of the motor for next season, Rossi is also demonstrated improved performance and speed desired. On several occasions he even lost to Nicky Hayden, who was still wearing bike this season.



Conditions that make Rossi was forced to set up two motors to race in the United States. GP11 and GP11.1 prepared to then be selected which one is better and will be used for racing.

After passing the two free practice sessions, Rossi and Ducati team finally decided to keep using GP11.1 Desmosedici at Laguna Seca.

"After conducting a technical meeting with Jerry (Burgess) and the team, we decided to proceed with a new bike, so I will just use GP11.1," Rossi said at the Autosports.

"We started with a motor that uses settings Sachsenring, which already has a significant change in terms of weight distribution, while the second motor has a standard setting. I prefer the one from Germany," said Rossi.

Rossi was just sitting in ninth position on the first MotoGP free practice the U.S., while in the second free practice he finish in the top 10. On the two occasions that he lost faster than team-mate Nicky Hayden.
