Lorenzo: I Thought It Was The End

Jorge Lorenzo admitted that he had thought to be absent in the United States Grand Prix this weekend, after a terrible accident on the third free practice on Saturday (23.07.11) morning. Luckily, he was spared from injury, so it can join the qualifications and finally took pole position.

In the final free practice at Laguna Seca circuit, the Lorenzo crashed in curve 5. He slid from the high side and landed with a loud, before the bike fell and dragged him off the track.

Some of the time Lorenzo was moving and could not get up. Only after getting help from the medical team, he could get up and sit in the sand, holding his right leg. Lorenzo, which in practice is on the order of three, was immediately taken to the circuit medical center for examination.

Apparently, the world champion was not injured so they can participate qualification. In the session to determine the starting position, Lorenzo appear very impressive because he dominated and eventually took pole position.

"It was a very bad accident. When I hit the ground, I felt very sick and thought that the race was over for me," said Lorenzo, the former double world champion 250cc class.

"Luckily, after several minutes, the pain slowly disappeared. But, in the forefront is the result better than what I expected."

The Spanish rider was admitted, he felt uncomfortable due to the accident. However, it did not give any effect when he is on the motor.

"On the bike I do not feel so sick, so I can raced tightly from the start and then can record a good time with soft tires. We are very pleased with these results," he said.
