Top Sport: Cadel Evans Champion Tour de France

Australian rider became the oldest champion since World War II.

Cadel Evans entered the ranks of elite Australian athletes to win one of the toughest sporting events, the most challenging and also the longest, the Tour de France. He also became the first Australian to win this race.

When the Australian national anthem rang out, Evans was crying. The body of the oldest champion since World War II this country wrapped in the flag. The oldest rider of all time who won the Tour de France was Firmin Lambot (Belgium) who won in 1922 at the age of 36 years.

"I can not be more excited than sekarang.Sedikit people who always believed in me. I've always believed in myself. And we can finally be a champion," said Evans, who was 34 years old.
