Valentino Rossi won the prime ambition in his hometown, when the eighth series held at the Mugello MotoGP on Sunday (03/07/2011). The Doctor's have not even reached the highest podium since moved from Yamaha to Ducati this season. Rossi's best achievement with the Italian team only in the French Grand Prix, while finishing in the top three. As a result, Rossi stuck at number four the standings, 55 points deficit from Casey Stoner who led the top position. The veteran racer was ambitious to pay for his failure in public alone.
Mugello has special memories for Rossi, who was nine times champion on the track along the 5245 km, although last year should be absent because of a foot injury.
