Dani Pedrosa said he was surprised to get a victory at the German GP Sunday 07.17.2011. The 25-year-old rider took only two races to get back on the podium after recovering from his injury.
Pedrosa was forced to miss the three series at the beginning of this season due to have surgery right collarbone. At any qualifications, this Spanish rider said he still felt weak when riding his motorcycle.
However, after a chase with Yamaha rider Jorge Lorenzo, and successfully led the final corner with the remaining nine laps, Pedrosa was able to drive the bike to not overtaken again. With this, he has pocketed his second victory in 2011 and 14th career in MotoGP.
"This is an incredible feeling," he said. "Back so fast and can win, not very trustworthy and I am very pleased."
"Even with being at the forefront yesterday, I was so happy, but I did not expect this victory."
Pedrosa admitted that he felt better when the motor drive, and many turn to the left at the Sachsenring Circuit made the right collarbone injury who is recovering is not too influential.
"I do not feel perfect with the bike that I ride, but since the race began, I feel better and have better rhythm," said Repsol Honda rider.
Pedrosa was grateful to anyone who helped him in when he was injured. "I want to thank everyone who's been with me during my difficult time," he said.
Ninth victory in the series brings Pedrosa moved up two strips of rank seventh to fifth position standings. Now, he is only four points behind the Ducati rider, Valentino Rossi.
