Not Convince Winning in Mugello - Rossi

Friday, July 1, 2011

Ducati GP11.1 could give hope to Valentino Rossi to achieve better results. After the first appearance in Assen, The Doctor is still not convinced it will mount competitive at Mugello.

Using the chassis for 1000 cc motorcycle that will be put into use next season, Rossi finishing in fourth position in the Dutch MotoGP weekend. These results extend the fasting victory of The Doctor after joining the Ducati this year.

Rossi and Ducati wait to come back to win seemed to have to wait much longer. Although it will compete at home, Rossi believes he can compete with other racers at the top. The reason for Ducati GP11.1 not as fast as expected.

"Compared to the Friday session at Assen when we got a lot of trouble, when the race we were a lot of progress with the bike and in the end results that we can not disappoint. But we're not fast enough in the race," Rossi said in MCN.

To be able to compete with Honda and Yamaha, Rossi asserted that the bike still needs some changes. Because if the conditions at Assen last, then let a champion, climbed onto the podium it would be difficult.

"We have to work again on this bike and understand how to improve the performance of the Desmosedici. We are now in fourth place standings and the distance is not too far away, but we were not strong enough to try and fight to win and also to reach the podium."

"We continue to work and we should concentrate on trying to develop a package of bike as fast as we possibly can," said Rossi.
