Yamaha team are very pleased with the results of the German GP Sunday 07.17.2011, because their flagship rider, Jorge Lorenzo, was able to beat the rival of the Repsol Honda team, Casey Stoner. The 2010 world champion Stoner bulldoze the end of the race.

Yamaha team manager, Wilco Zeelenberg, feel confident that the final corner is a crucial turn in the battle. Fortunately, Lorenzo managed to overtake the 2007 world champion, which makes their rivalry towards the world title in 2011 more exciting.

Yes, Lorenzo dramatic victory over Stoner to make their points difference is getting thinner. Although still ranked two, now can cut the gap with Lorenzo Lorenzo to just 15 points.

"Of course it's nice to get four points in the race entering the final corner at the end of the race, especially this could encourage mental Jorge," said Zeelenberg.

"The rest of our season will soon pass and we could close the distance with some races still to go."

Lorenzo, who was struggling with the problem at hand, described the victory at the Sachsenring circuit is a "miracle". How not, when was starting to feel tired, he can actually louder and bulldoze Stoner.

"I am very pleased," he said. "This is a fantastic race. Starting mid-race, my left hand was so tired that I do not know where I can find the energy to keep pushing until the end."

"Then, Casey slowed down a lot in two corners towards the end of the race so I take advantage of it, strive his motorbike to the maximum, and at the last corner I pass. It's a miracle! Racing is very important so we are very happy with this result."

Unfortunately, Lorenzo was unable to beat the other Repsol Honda rider Dani Pedrosa, who eventually became the winner. Nevertheless, Zeelenberg pleaded not too worried.

"Of course we would be happy if I were the first. But Dani does have the advantage on this track, he has mastered this track and very strong last year," explained Zeelenberg.
