Next year, Honda apparently will no longer use the three motors on the manufacturer teams in MotoGP. Apparently, HRC will kick Andrea Dovizioso.
World economic crisis and slowing economic growth in Japan due to earthquake and tsunami last March indicated as the cause of the Honda issued a policy.
"These are difficult times. The economic crisis is far from over," said Honda Racing boss, Shuhei Nakamoto, told Motosprint at Eurosport.
"In addition, Japan also has many problems due to the disaster that occurred last spring. All of our industrial sector is slowing down, production was cut 30 percent and Honda are also not immune from it," said Nakamoto.
Austerity policies that almost certainly will take its toll. Apart from Dovizioso, Marco Simoncelli (Honda Gresini) also likely will lose the manufacturer's official endorsement.
"If I had to make an announcement today about our drivers in 2012, I can only talk about because the only factory team (Casey) Stoner and (Dani) Pedrosa, who already had a contract," said Nakamoto.
"So, maybe I have to say goodbye for Dovizioso and Simoncelli," due diligence.
