More or Less Pressure for Lorenzo ?

Saturday, June 18, 2011

Since the Grand Prix Malaysian Grand Prix Catalunya 2009 to 2011 Jorge Lorenzo has always managed to finish in the top four. After 25 races he was eventually toppled at the Silverstone circuit. After racing in the GP DNF Lorenzo admitted that Britain could reduce mental stress. Really? Instead it will be growing pressure?

2011 season is Lorenzo's first season of its status as defending champions in the primary classroom (if in the 250cc class has been hell.) And like many people say, to retain the title is much more difficult than when chasing him.

Perhaps on the assumption that the X-feel Fuera place was displacement from the lead while he makes a little less pressure. If previously he was chased by Casey Stoner, Lorenzo's turn now to pursue the 2007 MotoGP world champion.

During this rider born in Palma de Mallorca was impressed keep the points and not too daring to take risks. He also had benefited from the accident that befell in Jerez Stoner. Then again benefited from the champions of the alternation between Stoner and Honda's Dani Pedrosa.

Unfortunately Pedrosa should trigger a break after the incident at the Le Mans circuit. While Marco Simoncelli was in fact not been able to demonstrate consistency during the race, although during practice and qualifying sessions are always impressed.

Lorenzo also can not expect much to Andrea Dovizioso who, though always in the front row but have not been able to match Stoner. Similarly, Valentino Rossi, who is still struggling with the problems Ducati GP11.

Hoping to teammates also seemed premature. Until the sixth series in England, Ben Spies was never able to compete at the forefront, especially to head off Stoner.

So, Lorenzo had to intervene himself to conquer Casey. The problem is, the performance YZR-M1 is clearly visible this season still lose compare to RC212V. Probably not one that Lorenzo was unable to lead the development machine, but rather because Honda is progressing rapidly at the end of this 800cc era.

With those fact, there is clearly a possibility lagging 18 points will only further add to the mental burden of the defending champion. Except, Lorenzo left the tactical racing style and really only concerned with winning. Because only with that he was able to catch up, before Stoner farther.

Jorge Lorenzo It's time to "forget" that he is the defending champion. He's the same with Casey Stoner, Dani Pedrosa, Andrea Dovizioso, Marco Simoncelli and Rossi, who both compete to be the best in this season. As he had said himself, there was no defending champion, every season, all riders start with zero competition points.
