Assen - Spies 1st Title in MotoGP, Lorenze and Simoncelli Collision

Ben Spies won the Dutch MotoGP at Assen circuit on Saturday (25 / 6) without the resistance of the Honda rider. Victory American rider completes 50 years of Yamaha party participating in premium-class motor racing arena. Spies success is his first victory in a career in the MotoGP event.

Previously, the best record in the MotoGP class only Spies finished second, which is in Indianapolis last year. For this season, he has been on the podium as third place finish in Catalunya.

Spies should teammate, Jorge Lorenzo who could win this race if he had not collided with Marco Simoncelli on the fourth corner when a new start. Although able to continue the race, but its position that bounced out of the top 10.

Entering the final 10 laps, Spies still leads by Stoner and Dovizioso behind him. Rossi was in fourth place and Colin Edwards in fifth position.

Five laps left, Spies is still comfortably in front and most certainly crossed the finish line first, if no incidents. Behind him was filled Stoner, Dovizioso and Rossi, Nicky Hayden is now filling five positions.

In the last three laps, Lorenzo successful position fix. He successfully pushed into sixth place with Edwards is now pushed to the seventh position.

Ben Spies, who appeared calm, finally able to finish the race perfectly.

Towards the end of the race, the last four laps, he was led away over Stoner, i.e up to about 6.075 seconds.

"I am pleased with my first win, especially this week celebrating the anniversary of my team," says Spies in a press conference after the race.

"Five pretty hard the last lap. But we managed to find the settings of the fitting. Congratulations also to these people (his crew)," he continued.

Spies victory was followed by Lorenzo success. The Spanish rider finished in sixth position.

Though Lorenzo had promised to win at Assen after failing to finish at Silverstone. Impact, points in the standings is now only added 10, making the point now numbered 108. While Stoner still leads the standings with a value of 136.
