Colin Edward Will Race on Silverstone

Colin Edwards had just had surgery a broken collarbone. However, this optimistic Tech3 Yamaha rider will be able to perform at the British GP that was held this weekend.

Edwards was forced to miss the series because of a shoulder injury Catalunya. Broken collarbone while diving second free practice session on Friday (03/06/2011) local time. Edwards fell on the corner 5. Rider from the United States was immediately rushed to the circuit medical center, and from the diagnosis he declared in a broken right collarbone.

A day after the accident, Edwards and then go up have surgery. After failing to appear in the previous series, the U.S. riders were reluctant to miss a race any longer.

"I know I can race next week and I look forward to," said 37-year-old racer in Autosport.

"I do not remember the last time he missed a race and I really do not want to watch the race from the TV, so I really hope to be back in action with a crew of Monster Yamaha Tech 3," he continued.

Edwards received a decision which forbids him to race in Spain last weekend as it is considered not fit enough, despite feeling a bit disappointed.

"I feel a little disappointed with the decision that forbade me to race because I have the ambition to not miss a race too, my record was good and I'm pretty proud,"continued the owner of the motor number eight that.

"I understand that decision but my shoulder feels pretty healthy. Doctor Xavier Mir has done a good job in collarbone due to falling, but really not my intention to perform a full on race. I just want to start, through several laps and pulled away."

"I'm just considering it because I'm here in Barcelona and it seemed nothing was cut off appearance streak. But I was too big and too old to be sad and I'm going to rest now and focus to get at Silverstone," he said.
