The motor racing world had to lose one talented rider, namely Marco Simoncelli. "Supersic" died of a tragic accident at the Sepang Circuit, Malaysia, Sunday (10.23.11), when the race after just two laps.

Simoncelli, who are fighting for fourth place with Rizla Suzuki rider Alvaro Bautista, lost control in corner 11, so he fall. However, he and his bike just dragged on track and crashed Yamaha Tech 3 rider Colin Edwards, and Ducat rider, Valentino Rossi.

Horror crash is inevitable. Edwards hit the motorcycle helmet head so Simoncelli Gresini Honda rider was detached, and Edwards had no chance to avoid the hit with Rossi motor, resulting in a pileup. Edwards dropped out of the track and suffered a dislocated shoulder, and Rossi survive for being able to control the motor with only a slight damage to the Desmosedici GP11.1 mount.

As a result of the accident, Simoncelli flounder directly above the track and did not move at all. Red flag was immediately hoisted, a sign the race to be stopped temporarily - after a while the race committee announced the race was canceled.

Simoncelli immediately rushed to the circuit medical center. However, severe injuries suffered by 24-year-old rider in the Italian did not dare to survive, and breathed last at 16:56 pm local time.

Simoncelli's departure makes the MotoGP motorcycle racing world lost a talented rider, who predicted would dominate this premier class. Because the rider Simoncelli including a highly competitive, and it's been shown since she was in the lowest class, 125cc.

Simoncelli made his debut in the 125cc class in the spring of 2002, and ruled the Spanish Grand Prix in 2004 and 2005, before rising to the 250cc class in the 2006 season with the team Gilera. In the 2008 season, this spiky embrace the world title after beating rivals of Spain, Alvaro Bautista.

The next season, Simoncelli decided to stay in the 250cc class, to defend his title. But he failed to do so, because they have to settle for third place, because of competition with Hiroshi Aoyama, who became his team mate in MotoGP.

In his debut in the MotoGP class last season, Simoncelli has been showing signs would be competitive. As a rookie, he managed to attract attention with the best results is to finish in fourth place in the GP of Portugal, and in the final standings is ranked eighth.

In this 2011 season, the brighter the light Simoncelli, although he often being criticized due to a very aggressive style of racing. Since the pre-season training until the race official, Simoncelli has always competed in the front row. He also managed to occupy the pole position at Catalunya and Assen, and six times in a row starting from the front row.

Unfortunately, all the fantastic results in free practice and qualifying can not be converted into a champion or at least finish on the podium. The reason, he often had an accident due to a fall or collision.

Nevertheless, Simoncelli relentless. He finally realize the dream for the MotoGP podium, when it finished third in the Czech Republic Grand Prix. The best results are achieved when he finished second in the GP of Australia, last weekend.

His achievements were impressive, the Honda team immediately handed a new contract to him, so he will still defend Gresini at MotoGP 2012, which uses the engine 1.000cc. Simoncelli will get a machine with specs like a factory team.

But fate has an other said. Simoncelli, who had once felt the motor 1.000cc after the Japan GP early last October, died of an accident at the Malaysian GP. He fell during the race after just two laps, and skidded into the path of Edwards and Rossi, so that his head run over by motor Edwards. Rest In Peace Simoncelli, We will always miss you.
