With victory on the 13th of this series, Lorenzo reveals his hopes to retain his MotoGP world champion. Although it still ranks second, donated 25 points from this race makes Lorenzo now has a total of 224 points and only 35 points adrift of Stoner, who is still firmly on top of the standings.

Lorenzo was ecstatic to be back on the top step of the podium.

"I really needed this victory because the last two races have been a nightmare so to be back with a really good bike is great," said Lorenzo.

For Pedrosa it was another outstanding result since his comeback from a broken right collarbone in the French race in May, an injury which caused him to miss three races, ruining his chances of winning the world title.

"It was really tough (the race). A very demanding circuit. The bike was not like what I wanted," he said.

"I couldn't push it but I could at least catch Casey towards the end."

Meanwhile, Valentino Rossi, who started from the position-11 also showed pretty good performance. Although the bike is not very competitive all weekend, "The Doctor" finish in seventh place and time to enliven the competition for the fourth position.

These results make Stoner failed to realize his ambition to score four consecutive wins after a win in Laguna Seca, Brno, and Indianapolis. Winning seven victories in the 2011 season this fails to win at Misano since 2007.

After the race at Misano, the rider only has a chance for a weekend break. Because, on 18 September, they had to go to Spain to perform at the 14th series which took place at the Circuit Motorland Aragon, Aragon.

The race story

When the red lights went out, Lorenzo did a good action. Start of second order, he immediately took control of the race when entering the first corner. The defending champions are in front, ahead of Repsol Honda's trio of consecutive occupied Stoner, Pedrosa and Dovizioso. Meanwhile, teammate Lorenzo, Spies, finished fifth.

However, one lap later, Rossi made a promising maneuver. Start of the order of 11 and immediately soared to seventh, "The Doctor" has moved up two strips into fifth position, shifting the Spies. After that, turn Simoncelli who beat Spies to enliven the competition in the front row.

On the third lap, Rossi's teammate, Nicky Hayden, must accept the bitter truth. He had an accident and failing to continue the race. While in the front row, Lorenzo, Stoner and Pedrosa increasingly outpacing its rivals. Began to form groups of rows of the first and second rows of the present competition Dovizioso, Rossi and Simoncelli.

One lap later, Simoncelli maneuver a fairly bold when overtaking Rossi. From the inside, the spiky which is a compatriot Rossi of Italy were determined to perform an action such that it almost happened nudge. Rossi was lucky to anticipate it so deftly avoided an accident.

Entering the sixth lap, Lorenzo and Stoner getting tougher fight because they only separated by 0.1 seconds, 0.9 seconds behind Pedrosa. Similar conditions also occurred between Dovizioso and Simoncelli are back lunge forward when overtaking fellow Italian rider is to be in fourth position.

On lap 11, Lorenzo started slightly away from the pursuit of Stoner. Double world champion 250 cc class was 0.589 seconds ahead so he was quite comfortable in front and closer to his ambition to cut the gap to Stoner in the title race world championship season of 2011.

As for the group changes the composition of the second row when the race will enter the 16th lap. Spies, who was slumped on the seventh to beat Rossi when fighting in a straight line and then provide a threat to Dovizioso.

Go back to the forefront, Lorenzo seemed unstoppable to record a third victory this season. The remaining nine laps during the race, the Spaniard is already well ahead with a 3.889 second advantage from Stoner, who just started getting threats from Pedrosa.

Sure enough, on lap 22, Stoner must go down one strip to third because of the straight track, Pedrosa managed to overtake. A fact which of course provides fresh air for Lorenzo in his attempt to retain the title of world champion. Therefore, differences in points, they can be trimmed nine points.

Entering the final three laps, when Lorenzo was 7.428 seconds ahead of Pedrosa, just a fierce battle took place between Simoncelli, Dovizioso, and Spies competing for four positions. When entering the bend to the right, Dovizioso Simoncelli took the opportunity to overtake on the inside and managed to retain that position.

However, on lap 28 which is the last lap, Simoncelli again showed that risk-taking action. In the corner, "Super Sic" stick tight again and able to defeat compatriot Dovizioso it. He can maintain his lead up to touch the finish line despite the margin is very thin, which is only 0.043 seconds.
