Randy de Puniet Will Go to Superbike ?

Wednesday, August 3, 2011

Randy de Puniet through 2011 MotoGP series on the first half is very far from expectations. Of the ten series already in done, he could only finish four races with the best results is finished in 10th position on Estoril Series, Portugal. Rumors began to circulate, next year, Randy will leave MotoGP to World Superbike arena.

De Puniet's problems are quite complex. He underwent the 2011 season with a physical condition that is not fully fit last season due to injury. This year is also the first season with the Pramac Racing team and riding a Ducati motorcycle which even in the hands of Valentino Rossi's still unable to perform competitively. Then, crash after crash which further exacerbate the condition. Finally, Randy was forced to miss the Laguna Seca MotoGP due to injury accidents in the qualifying session.

With a performance decline, the possibility of Lauren Vickers lover can stay in MotoGP next season is very small indeed. Therefore, Randy seems to have started looking for another opportunity. A French-language site, Motosblog news reported that Randy has got a proposal from Kawasaki WSBK team.

Kawasaki is not something new for Randy. With the 'green gang' that he started his career in the MotoGP class and could result in a podium. Randy also believes could appear competitive in the Superbike arena after seeing some of the ex-MotoGP riders like Max Biaggi, Carlos Checa and Marco Melandri also achieve good results there. But, once again this is just a rumor, we wait for further developments.
