Yamaha rider, Ben Spies, the fastest time in first MotoGP practice session of the United States, Friday, August 26, 2011. Spies managed to outperform the Repsol Honda rider, Casey Stoner, who was perched at number two.
In a practice session at Indianapolis, the Spies clocked 1 minute 43.260 seconds. Meanwhile, Stoner is only clocked 1 minute 43.552 seconds. Ranked three to five inhabited Colin Edwards, Marco Simoncelli, and Nicky Hadyen.
Two other seeded rider namely Jorge Lorenzo and Dani Pedrosa are surprisingly ranked at nine and ten. Lorenzo clocked 1 minute 45.065 seconds and Pedrosa followed with a time of 1 minute 45.192 seconds.
