North America is an important market for Porsche, but in fact, diesel engines are not popular in the region so that Porsche has not decided whether to launch the Panamera and the Cayenne diesel. Porsche assert that they are developing a four-door Panamera GT diesel plant which will make its debut at the Geneva Motor Show next March 2011. They also are considering selling Panamera and Cayenne Diesel in the U.S. Besides Porsche Panamera also been working on hybrid gasoline-electric engines and models the latest fuel efficient to meet the increased demand of luxury cars equipped with environmentally friendly engines.
