Tire Was Crucial in Indianapolis

Friday, September 2, 2011

Andrea Dovizioso, say, tire management in the Indianapolis Grand Prix will be far more important than in other circuits that host the MotoGP.

Tire management becomes important, because the asphalt overlay on the tires grip the track makes this one different location in another location.

"With more of the remaining rubber on the track, the grip of the tire change with quick and the main issue is the type of tire. This condition is very typical for the new asphalt, so we have to set the type of tire with caution, especially the front tire." Dovizioso said on Friday (26/08/2011) at Indianapolis.

Dovizioso hoping track conditions improved on Saturday (27/08/2011), because it is almost impossible to finish the race with a situation like this.

Dovi also pleaded not concerned with the position at the fifth in the second free practice, because it is impossible to impose his motorcycle and had to keep the tires for qualifying.
