Tennis News - Federer Translucent Fourth Round

Host tennis player Andy Roddick also stepped into the fourth round.



Roger Federer continues to maintain his record of scoring opportunities at the U.S. Open to move into the fourth round after beating 27th-seeded Croatian, Marin Cilic, Sunday, September 4, 2011 pm dawn.



Federer had experienced difficulty in the second set against Cilic. Had winning 6-3 in the first set, the Swiss had to lose the second set of Cilic 6-4. Federer back up and won the match by winning the next two sets 6-4 and 6-2.



This victory makes Federer continues mempelihara opportunities at the U.S. Open scoring record by winning six titles. Federer currently has the same record with Jimmy Connors and Pete Sampras in five U.S. Open titles.



In the fourth round or 16 large, Federer will face the winner between Juan Monaco (Argentina) against Tommy Haas of Germany.
