Thursday, August 11, 2011

Czech Republic Grand Prix this weekend will be the first in a series of new rules of MotoGP tire supply implementation. Because, starting in Brno, there will be increasing the number of soft compound tire.

Under the new rules later, every rider will have three options (not two) of compound Bridgestone tires for the front wheel - adding a soft compound tire done to improve safety when low temperatures, including at the track.

Meanwhile, ten rear slick tires will still be available in a choice of two compounds per week, but the rider can choose the more they like, up to a maximum of six to one compound, and four for the other.

"Racing is the first Czech Republic for the implementation of our new tire supply system, and I am sure that we can answer satisfactorily what the rider asked about the selection of soft compound, mainly to improve performance during warm-ups," said the manager of the Department of Bridgestone Motorsport, Hiroshi Yamada said.

"Brno is a circuit that is abusive, so traction tires are usually quite high. But I hope the option soft compound will function well, especially in the cooler morning session.

"After the summer break since the last series at Laguna Seca, I'm sure all riders are fit and have a passion to return to track racing. I hope, by changing the supply of conveyor systems, we can play a role in contributing to close the hunting competition world title in the second half of the season. "
