Lorenzo Update Engine At Indy to Chase Gaps

Jorge Lorenzo's determination to cut 32 points gaps in the standings leader, Casey Stoner, will be tested on the race in Indianapolis next weekend. Because, in the 12th series to the 2012 MotoGP, Lorenzo will use the YZR-M1 machine that has been updated.

In the trial, an official in Brno, Czech Republic, a day after the race there, Lorenzo did not just make his debut with Yamaha engine 1.000cc that will be used next season. Defending champion is also the focus of a test four-cylinder engine that has been revised, for the sake of chasing a target of the Repsol Honda rival, in the hunt for the world title.

Apparently, the motor is updated it gives results quite promising. Former double world champion 250cc class recorded the best time of 1 minute 56.727 seconds, which has better acceleration, as well as speed.

Indeed, the record time was not too different from what he achieved when the Czech Republic Grand Prix qualifying. However, the Spaniard is sure he was still using the machine when the update is performed at Indy.

"It's only a small difference, but certainly in Indy we will use this machine. It seems a little better in terms of top speed, though not much better.

Yamaha factory team also confirmed, Lorenzo had tried a new fairing, electronics and chassis, in a test session at Brno. All this as they attempt to embrace the world title for the fourth year in a row.
