Yamaha team rider Ben Spies said he was satisfied with the progress he made in his second year in MotoGP. Spies being a newcomer in the team Monster YamahaTech 3 in 2010 and occupies twice the podium at Silverstone Circuit and Indianapolis.
Spies was promoted to first team as Valentino Rossi's Yamaha move to Ducati, and his first victory in the Yamaha team while competing at the Circuit Assen, the Netherlands, and seized the podium at the Circuit de Catalunya, Spain. "The target this year is to win a series, and if it can win another one would be very nice. We had a tough start at the beginning of the season but after a few weeks, we are always consistent in the top five and the occasional podium," said Spies, who is from Texas , USA.
