But because he suffered electrical problems on 1198 Ducati motorcycles modified version is now beginning to try out a few laps, the UK also lend Ducati 1198 standard full version with license plates and rear view mirror.
"I'm happy. After a few laps around the track with Superbike racing motorcycles in 1198, we got a problem with the electronic system," Rossi said before turning to Italy. He then replaced the standard road bike borrowed from Ducati UK.
"The Doctor" really like to refine motor admitted at Silverstone. "The path is good, hard, and very technical. That's what makes you work hard because there is a very fast, while the other side is narrow and you must have a good grip when accelerating," said the man from Urbino, Italy, this.
He continued that the first corner is really blind and should be right in the racing line. "Anyway, overall, part (section) first at this track is really great and I really liked it," said Rossi.
"I am very pleased that we could do a test on this circuit. Although we are experiencing electrical problems after a few laps, but we can continue the test session using a Ducati 1198 street version. The track is very nice, but difficult and very technical. Fast track that is dominated by the right corner and the blind spot would require setting the perfect bike. Not to mention the sharp turns that require good grip during acceleration, "explained Rossi.
Although there is no record the fastest time which was released by the Ducati team, but Rossi reportedly only able to print a fastest lap of 2 minutes 6 seconds. British MotoGP itself will be held on June 12, 2011.
Last year, Rossi did not appear at Silverstone due to prolonged injury. Hence, he did not waste this opportunity.
Renovation
Silverstone Circuit which will host the MotoGP and F1 for 2011 has been renovated in many ways by spending a fund of Rp 350 billion. Inauguration by HRH Duke of Kent and the President of the British Racing Drivers Club (BRDC) was attended by five of the six former F1 world champion from England, which John Surtees, Jackie Stewart, Nigel Mansell, Damon Hill, and Jenson Button.
Settling in the complex include the Silverstone Circuit which now has 41 pit garages, race control houses, media space, hotels, hospitality, VIP spectator zones, podiums, three large rooms, business center, and auditorium with 100 seats.
"Today (05/17/2011) becomes an important day," said BRDC president Damon Hill. Silverstone, he continued, has a significant historical heritage. "But we retain this place is always in the front line in the arena of international motor sport," he said.
