Honda Indonesia launches Honda Spacy

PT. Astra Honda Motor (AHM) today launched daily automatic scooter (scooter) recently, the Honda spacy. 110 cc scooter engine is priced IDR 11.75 million for the variant spoke wheel and IDR 12.55 million for the variant casting wheel.

"The presence of this scooter is a step to give us a wider range of choices to consumers, especially young consumers, entrepreneurs, and employees," said Johannes Loman, Executive Vice President Director of AHM, Wednesday, May 4, 2011.

Honda's latest scooter is equipped with a helmet in features. This feature is a trunk under the seat with the largest capacity in its class to be able to store luggage the size of a full face helmet.

Motor is also equipped with fuel tank capacity of 5 liters. "This is an automatic scooter global model produced in Indonesia and in China. We target could sell 25 thousand units per month, "said Yusuke Hori, President of AHM.

Honda spacy has a length of 1.48 meters, 0.66 meters in width, and height of 1.09 meters. Hydraulic disc braking system uses a single piston in the front wheel. The rear wheels use drum brakes.

110 cc engine producing power 8.54 ps at 8000 rpm and 8.03 Newton meters of torque at 6,000 rpm.

Sales of Honda Revo AT and Megapro rise in October

Astra Honda Motor (AHM) as manufacturer of Honda motorcycle in Indonesia has recorded sales of 323,254 units during October 2010 or an increase of 46.7% from the previous month that only 220 346 units.

This sales increase is sustained spike in demand for the type of cub and automatic scooter. At last month's total motorcycle sales of 140,641 units of Honda recorded an increase of 55.6% compared to September (90,399 units).

All models Honda cub in October to increase sales, including new entrants Honda Revo AT that carries an automatic continuous variable (CV-Matic) technology. Revo AT sales last month soared to 116% compared to September, to 1044 units.

In the scooter segment, sales of AHM is also experiencing significant growth. In October Honda scooter sold 160,129 units or an increase of 41.6% compared to September (113,114 units). Honda Beat is still the largest contributor with 69,853 unit sales.

In the sports segment, AHM also posted a significant sales increase of 33% from 16,833 units in September to 22,384 units last month.
