Sunday, April 3, 2011

Jorge Lorenzo won the race full of drama at Jerez, Spain, on Sunday (3/4/11), who survive the incident of seven accidents. In front of his supporters, the Yamaha rider beat Dani Pedrosa (Repsol Honda) and Nicky Hayden (Ducati), who respectively finished behind him. With that result, Lorenzo now leads the standings with a value of 45, followed by Pedrosa with points 36 and Stoner (25).

Meanwhile, bad luck struck a number of riders, including Casey Stoner and Valentino Rossi. While it is fighting to compete for second position, they involved an accident on lap six, making Stoner crashed and failed to continue the race.

However, Rossi who started from position 12 successfully completed the race. Had crushed the bike, "The Doctor" get up to fight again from the bottom. Slowly but surely he began to thrust forward and managed to finish in fifth.

The race story

When the red light signal starts the race, Casey Stoner took over the course of the race immediately. Behind him there is the Yamaha rider, Jorge Lorenzo, who kept following. Meanwhile, Marco Simoncelli start from six place also make a great leap forward because it can take three positions. Rossi did not want to miss. Start from position 12, the Ducati rider is thrust into the front row.

Inversely proportional to Stoner team mate, Dani Pedrosa sag a position. Spanish ride have a poor start, so dropped down to fourth from second position at start.

The second lap, Rossi began to poke into the future with past Andrea Dovizioso. "The Doctor" continues to refine his Desmosedici GP11 with tight, so that by the third lap he managed to make the fastest lap, which ranks fourth. Slowly he tried to chase the leading three riders, Stoner, Lorenzo, Simoncelli, which then compete closely.

On the fourth lap, there was a change in position in the leading group. Simoncelli successfully performs a manuver when cornering to the right, which took him from the inside so through pass Lorenzo. This spiky-haired rider returned to action crosses to pass Stoner and took over the course of the race during the fourth lap.

Competition in the sector before the more exciting after Rossi getting closer. MotoGP world champion seven times it did not take long to fix its position as the fifth lap he made it past Lorenzo, and started giving threats to Stoner.

But Rossi's brilliant action not bogged down in the sixth lap he must accept a bitter truth. When he will passing Stoner during cornering to the right, the bike slipped. As a result he fell, so with Stoner, who can not avoid the incident. After receiving help, Rossi who had crushed the bike can get up and continue the race, while Stoner immediately leave the arena.

The fall Rossi makes Simoncelli increasingly comfortable in front for quite a distance ahead of Lorenzo and Nicky Hayden, who in a row in the order of 2-3. While in the second row, there Pedrosa and Ben Spies, who fought tight to compete for four positions. Pedrosa finally passed Spies in the eighth lap. Only one lap later, Pedrosa poke again into the top three, when successfully passed Hayden.

Disasters happen again on lap 10. This time it happened to Simoncelli, who was not under pressure from anyone because she was alone in front. Slippery track due to rain, making the Italian rider was slipped, and failed to continue the race because the bike was damaged.

This gives a huge advantage to Lorenzo, who do not have to fight hard to become number one. Moreover, he was leading two seconds ahead of Pedrosa, who still shows the perseverance to pursue. However, before the existence of a series of catastrophic accident, Lorenzo under pressure from a number of rivals (from Stoner and Rossi, and Simoncelli).

Up to half of the course of the race, Lorenzo still remain in the forefront. Nevertheless, Pedrosa slowly cut the distance, because the difference in time on lap-13 has lived more than a second, making the fight fellow Spanish rider is more exciting. While the top three, Spies poke again since he got past Hayden, Rossi's teammate in Ducati.

However, the struggle to get close to Pedrosa Lorenzo did not last long. On lap-16, Lorenzo farther back and it seems to be comfortable with his position because of Pedrosa, who experienced arm problems, was left with a gap of more than five seconds. In fact, Pedrosa received threats from Spies.

In the back row, Rossi continued to struggle to improve his position. Operating 32-year-old rider is bearing fruit that is good enough, because on lap 20 he was thrust into the position of seventh.

Back to competition Pedrosa and Spies. On lap -21 fierce duel because they link the time no more than one second. The pressure continues to be a former world Superbike champion had yielded positive results because on lap 22, he managed to crucify Pedrosa on the track straight after the bend to the right.

At that time Yamaha will be dominating Jerez race with Lorenzo on first position, followed by Spies.

Apparently, Jerez became a graveyard for a number of riders a chance on the podium loss because in the lap-23, Spies was fall. In fact, a Texas-based rider has just passed Pedrosa. This gives the advantage to Pedrosa, who automatically became the runner-up, as well as a number of riders behind him, including Rossi who rose to sixth place.

In lap-25 it is Edwards turn who suffered the fate of unlucky, because he had to leave the race despite being in a position of number three on the podium. This gives the advantage to his teammate Rossi, Nicky Hayden, who ultimately could be on the podium number three, making the Spanish GP podium was occupied by three different teams, ie Yamaha, Honda and Ducati. Thus, Hayden on the podium number three, and Rossi finished fifth.

Entertaining race which consist so many drama that consist of patience, calculation and luck.
