Although he finished behind his team mate - and standings leader - Lewis Hamilton, McLaren’s Jenson Button was pleased to convert his seventh-place grid and slot into a third-place finish in Valencia last weekend, especially as it was his third successive podium. At the forthcoming British Grand Prix he’ll race for the first time on his home soil as world champion and, as he explained to his official website, he can’t wait…

Jenson Alexander Lyons Button MBE (born 19 January 1980) is a British Formula One driver currently signed with McLaren Mercedes, and is the reigning Formula One World Drivers' Champion.

His first drove in Formula One was on 2000 season, with the Williams team, switching in 2001 to Benetton, which in 2002 became Renault F1. After two years with the Enstone-based squad, he moved to the BAR in 2003. They were subsequently renamed Honda for the 2006 season, during which Button won his first Grand Prix in the Hungary, on 6 August 2006, after 113 races.
