Coaching in the winter

Hi, i thought i would post some pics of the guys training at the indoor in Sheffield. We have been doing Monday and Friday evenings. There's some good quality training being done.
On Monday we tried different gate techniques. Wrong pedal forward/ no lights(just sound) Lights (no sound).All good stuff for switching on and getting your head into gear on those gates.
Sorry about the quality of tyhe pics. It looks grim but at least we are getting to ride indoors..

riding with the best

I raced today at Sheffield indoor. It was an eye opener as i got my ass kicked! I was slow out of the gate and my technique is way behind. Still theres no motivator like losing to fire me up.
The bike was ace with the DXR stuff working and being admired by a quite a few riders. Ive no action shots for you (sorry) just some classic scenery pics as the beautiful winters day turned on. I did ride and coach Friday with Shanaze Read , Jamie Staff, Kelvin Batey, and Luke Gamble. My gosh these guys are on a different level! Jamie was saying "iam still a little rusty" jesus if thats rusty i wouldnt like to see you really trying! I was inspired mate. Great commitment by all with Luke just easing his way back in. If you ever want to gauge how slow your gates are get on the blocks with this lot!!!
Congrat to Arran Shrosbree and Bradley Minns for winning there finals (both students of the Action sports coaching academy.) Well done guys. Enjoy the pictures se ya soon Mike

DXR cranks and Sheffield indoor race 3rd Febuary

Heres a pic of the new cranks and DXR brake lever, the hubs are a work of art but wont be in till Febuary 17th. Theres a race on at the indoor Sheffield with quite a few good riders expected to attend it should be a cracking saturdays racing!!

Old London Town

Well iam back from a 20 hour jaunt to London to meet the good people at Vans and officially got there backing for Alans bmx team for 2007.We will be the the official vans team for the Uk. Vans have been around for 40 years and in that time have supported bmx throughout its history. I still remember my first pair of black and yellow low tops.
Lovely. I was sponsored by Vans in the 1980s for freestyle and its a great honour for me and the team to be back with them in 23 years later.
