Video : KTM Duke 200 was launched in Malaysia and will follow soon in Indonesia

Some time ago the KTM Duke 200 launched in Malaysia. And the manufacturer from Austria to make sure also will be marketed in Indonesia.

In Indonesia, the directors of PT Bajaj Auto Indonesia said, the KTM is conducting a feasibility study in Indonesia, before deciding what the networks want to own or ride Bajaj who currently holds a majority stake (KTM).

CEO KTM Sport Motorcycle, Stefan Pierer stated that the KTM will launch a new product at the end of year. The product is the KTM Duke 200 cc.

KTM hopes to sell these products as much as 30,000 units in its first year.

After the KTM Duke 200, other products will soon follow is KTM Duke 350 which will also be produced at the same place.

Only the KTM Duke 200 is deployed in Europe and Asia. KTM Duke 200 will accompany Duke 125 to pursue target consumers or new riders. It means KTM Duke 350cc will be sold only in India.

For your information that KTM Duke 125 instead make his debut in Europe.

Recent developments of Bajaj Auto Indonesia (BAI), in addition to marketing the brand motorcycle Bajaj, also will sell KTM motorcycle brand in Indonesia. This can happen because the majority of the shares of KTM is now owned by Bajaj Auto India.

The latest news, by the end of this year Bajaj India to launch KTM Duke 125. Most likely, Bajaj Indonesia will follow. This was stated directly by Tomotaka Ishikawa, President of BAI when introducing himself to reporters at Indochine Cafe, Senayan, South Jakarta, yesterday (05/25/2011).

"The possibility of us (BAI) launched the product in Indonesia, Yes!" Tomotaka clear, without mentioning details. While Budi Dirgantoro, National Marketing Head of BAI, said, "Launching new products in India, will also be followed in Indonesia."




Budi give an example, Pulsar 220 was launched in Indonesia in March 2011, while India in January 2010. "Usually there is a span of time between India and Indonesia. If KTM launched in India later this year, possibly go to Indonesia it appears logical a year later,"said Budi.

If the KTM Duke 125 go to Indonesia, the segment being targeted is the naked bike style SuperMoto, a new segment of the motorcycle market in Indonesia.

In India, 125 Duke priced ranging from 125000-300000 rupee or Rp 23.6 million to USD 56.8 million.
