Casey Stoner became the first Honda rider race given the chance to try out the new 1000cc motor circuit at Jerez, Spain (05/17/2011) a few days ago.
Actually, Dani Pedrosa was also scheduled to go do a test, but given the circumstances that are still injuries from an accident at Le Mans series, the task of testing and then fully charged to Stoner.
HRC test rider, Kousuke Akiyoshi and Shinichi Ito previously been testing this machine in April at Suzuka, Japan. Shinichi doing laps with the new engine in the morning before Casey.
Test schedule starts at 11:00 local time in sunny conditions. Stoner completed a total of 50 laps (221km) using standard tires 800cc Bridgestone tires this season and also a new prototype for 2012.
