Manchester United Strikers :

Despite losing Argentinian Striker Carlos Tevez & Portuguese winger Cristiano Ronaldo during this summer, Manchester United still have a wealth of talent in their striking ranks.

Dimitar Berbatov is a Bulgarian international & is Man Utd's record signing. They signed for the club for £31,000,000 in the Summer of 2008 from London club Tottenham Hotspur. Despite the high transfer fee Berbatrov had a disappointing first season at the club, scoring only 14 goals & will require to markedly improve his performances to have a successful impact at the club/

Wayne Rooney signed from Everton in 2005 is the focal point of Man Utd's attacking options & is probably the clubs best player. An English born forward, they has skills, passing & vision & couples this with a fierce determination & winning attitude that merge to make him a guaranteed starter when fit. With Ronaldo having now left the club, Rooney will be the man to make the team tick & will be important in both generating & scoring goals for the team.

Federico Macheda came through the youth ranks at Elderly Trafford & made his debut against Aston Villa in the Premier League in April 2009. They could not have had a more dramatic & successful debut, scoring an injury time winner that was crucial in winning the Premier League for Manchester United. A tall strong Italian, plenty of are predicting a massive future in the game for him.

Michael Owen was signed this Summer on a free transfer having been released by Newcastle United at the finish of his contract. The striker has been plagued by injuries for several years & the signing of Owen was a massive surprise to everyone in the footy world. Being an ex-Liverpool FC player there's plenty of United fans who are unhappy with the move. They will most probably be used as an impact sub over the season & all Manchester United supporters will love to see him score the winner at the Kop Finish against Liverpool.

Daniel Welbeck is another who came through the youth ranks at Elderly Trafford & like Macheda scored on his first team debut with a 30 yard top corner screamer from 30 yards. Tall & pacey they is skilful with his feet & Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson believes they will make the England National squad for the 2010 World Cup.

Although United have 5 strikers at the club they are constantly being linked with players with Samuel Eto'o & Sergio Aguero the newspapers favourites to come to the club.
