Honda Racing Corporation Bos, Shusei Nakamoto admitted that the earthquake and tsunami that struck Japan over the weekend, have a significant impact. He said that natural disasters can affect the course of Honda in MotoGP this year's event.

Actually, the main facility HRC not damaged, as well as its staff. However, according to Nakamoto, working conditions and atmosphere are very difficult. "The situation is very difficult in Japan, and also our thoughts with others who are affected," he said.

"As the HRC, we were lucky because there is no big issues, even if it is now difficult to work at our headquarters - we could work only five hours per day due to imposed restrictions.

"Also, access to work are very hard it could not be reach by the main train station Asakadai - closest to our office, and very complex to achieve workplace only with 50 percent of trains operating. Because of this situation, many people come by car , but now traffic are difficult and it took three hours to get to the HRC, also it is now too difficult to get gasoline."

Because of that, added Nakamoto, the most act to carried out by Honda is to reduce the spare parts.

"Another issue relates to our suppliers," said Nakamoto. "Many of them unable to work now, and it becomes a potential problem for racing activity in the next few weeks.

"So far we have all the spare parts needed at Qatar and Jerez race. But after that is difficult if the situation does not change, we will arrange it carefully.

"However, everyone in Japan are trying our best to resolve the situation and we hope that eventually all people can overcome the problem."

Nakamoto also expressed its support for the decision to delay the Japanese GP until October."This is a very appropriate decision. Motegi experienced little damage to the circuit, so we need several weeks to make repairs. But I'm sure Motegi Circuit will soon do a good job."
