Pedrosa Pole At Sepang

Saturday, October 22, 2011 | 0 comments

Dani Pedrosa gave a strong signal will dominate the Malaysian GP this weekend. Because the Spaniard is undefeated since last Friday (21/10/2011) in two free practice, until qualifying on Saturday (10/22/2011) afternoon.

In the session to determine the starting position during the race tomorrow, Pedrosa clocked the best 2 minutes 01.462 seconds. She beat teammate at Repsol Honda, as well as 2011 world champion, Casey Stoner, who just 0.029 seconds adrift.

The results indicate that these qualifications Pedrosa and Stoner will be competing in the race at the Sepang Circuit on Sunday (23/10/2011) later. Nevertheless, they should not be complacent because of his teammate who is the third rider, Andrea Dovizioso, ready to deliver a threat after the start of the third order.

Colin Edwards brings a little surprise because it managed to undermine the dominance of the team with the specifications of the Honda factory engines. Tech 3 Yamaha satellite rider is in the fourth to beat the record time for Honda Gresini rider Marco Simoncelli, who had to settle for the start of the fifth.

The sixth position is occupied by Ducati rider, Nicky Hayden. The 2006 world champion beat his teammate Simoncelli, Hiroshi Aoyama, who finished better than Rizla Suzuki rider Alvaro Bautista, and seven times MotoGP world champion Valentino Rossi (Ducati), who had had an accident in Curve 10, and Yamaha rider Tech 3, Cal Crutchlow, who completed the composition of the top 10.

Malaysian Grand Prix this season seems to be a bad weekend for Yamaha. Because their two drivers, Ben Spies and Katsuyuki Nakasuga, successively filling the rear most position. Spies, who forced himself to look at this race even if conditions are not fit 100 percent due to an accident at the Australian GP last week, will start from 16th, while Nakasuga, who replaced Jorge Lorenzo, located at number 17.

Yamaha lost Lorenzo who could not perform in-17 series to this. 2010 world champion is currently in post-operative recovery period of grafting the left hand ring finger due to an accident at the Australian GP warming. Lorenzo's participation in the ultimate series in Valencia, early November, is also still a question mark because it depends on the development of the injury recovery.

Dovi Happy To Finish In Front Of Pedrosa

Monday, October 17, 2011 | 0 comments

Team Repsol Honda rider Andrea Dovizioso, happy to beat his team mate, Dani Pedrosa, and finish in third place at Australian GP last weekend. The results are important to widen the difference in points of Pedrosa and took third place at the end of the 2011 season.

"I am disappointed that failed to beat Marco Simoncelli to win the second podium. However, I am pleased to finish ahead of Pedrosa and add the difference in points in order to maintain third position until the end of the season," said Dovizioso, Tuesday (18/10/2011) in Sydney.

Before the Australian Grand Prix starts, Dovizioso in third place and only one point of Pedrosa in fourth. Pedrosa, who collects a lot of numbers after recovering from injury ambitious to snatch third place, but Dovizioso determined to defend it.

At Phillip Island Circuit, Dovizioso finished in third and Pedrosa in fourth, so the difference in points they get from one point to four points. However, Dovizioso position is not safe because there are still two more series and there is a maximum of 50 points up for grabs.

"I will continue to strive to always be ahead of Pedrosa in two subsequent series. I want a third win at the end of the season," said Dovizioso, who next year will move to the Tech 3 team.

Pedrosa Win Dramatic Motegi

Tuesday, October 4, 2011 | 0 comments

Dani Pedrosa won the race full of drama in Motegi Circuit, Japan, on Sunday (02.10.11). In a race marked by many accidents, including the hit Valentino Rossi and a penalty against the three riders due to jump start, the Yamaha rider beat Pedrosa, Jorge Lorenzo and Repsol Honda team-mate Casey Stoner.

This was Pedrosa's third victory of the season 2011, after the GP of Portugal and Germany. However, the Spaniard is not moved from fourth place standings, because it is still a point adrift of third Repsol Honda rider Andrea Dovizioso.

The results of this series to make the battle for the 15 world titles between Stoner and Lorenzo is still tight. Because, at this time Lorenzo can cut the difference to only 40 points, after Stoner made a mistake on lap four, so to lose the moment to win the race.

Rossi crash on first lap

When the red light goes out, a trio of Honda immediately skyrocketed in front, followed by Lorenzo and Rossi. But when the race has not completed one lap, the problem had been to Ben Spies, so the Yamaha rider is straight out. Not long ago, Rossi's turn to hit bad luck due to accidents.

When will swing left kek, brushed with Lorenzo Rossi. "The Doctor", who was in the midst of a crowd of riders who were fighting for position in the front row, unable to control the bike, which nudged the back of the motor Lorenzo. MotoGP world champion seven times it was rolled to gravel, and unable to continue the race.

Meanwhile, Stoner, who started from pole position, immediately leave the party when the race entered the third lap. The strongest candidate the 2011 world champion was 1.047 seconds ahead of Repsol Honda team-mate, Andrea Dovizioso.

But on the fourth lap, Stoner had a little problem on the bike. Towards the bend to the right, he was unable to control his mount, which looks shaky. Luckily, the Australian rider to stay calm and do not want to take risks to keep cornering because it failed to find the braking point. He let his motorcycle drove up to gravel, and slumped to number seven on his return to track racing.

On the sixth lap, Dovizioso, who had led the course of the race after Stoner slid, had to give up his position taken over Pedrosa. The Italian rider had to undergo due to jump start penalty. It is also served Simoncelli.

When out of the pitstop, two Honda rider is in the order of 9-10. Previously, Tech 3 Yamaha rider, Cal Crutchlow, who first underwent jump start penalty.

This situation gives advantages to Lorenzo, who climbed to number two. He's competing with Pedrosa. Three positions occupied by Alvaro Bautista (Suzuki), followed by Nicky Hayden (Ducati), Stoner, Toni Elias (LCR), Hiroshi Aoyama (Gresini), and Colin Edwards (Tech 3 Yamaha).

Entering the eighth lap, Pedrosa and Lorenzo farther ahead, and just 0.529 seconds adrift. Their position seems unfazed by the group behind, because Bautista 6.848 seconds behind.

Meanwhile, Stoner continues to strive to improve its position. 2007 world champion this effort to fruition sweet when on lap 11 he had climbed into the top four. The pressure that was given to his rival from Hayden makes Ducati's do a little mistake so wide when cornering - Hayden immediately slumped to the order of 9 when he returned to the track. Stoner also took fourth place, before overtaking Bautista one lap later.

Apparently, finishing in the top three to be the most out of Stoner, because he had gone too far with Pedrosa and Lorenzo. On lap 13, champions last season's Japanese Grand Prix (Ducati) 12.882 seconds behind the race leader. Meanwhile, Bautista had an accident and failing to continue the race. Automatic, Dovizioso and Simoncelli benefit, because their position up to the order of 4-5.

Seeing the conditions that no longer possible to pursue the two rivals in front of him, Stoner did not want to take risks. He's trying to look safe, which makes it increasingly far behind. On lap 18, Stoner 15.252 seconds adrift of Pedrosa. Meanwhile, Lorenzo did not force myself to catch Pedrosa pushed his bike, so he tertinggal3, 153 sec.

If the top three there was no competition a thrilling, exciting duel actually took place between Dovizioso and Simoncelli, competing for four positions. Two Honda rider was just 0.2 seconds adrift, so that attention is more focused MotoGP lovers to fight.

Until lap 18, only the remaining 13 riders who race. The other five are out, after Elias became the last rider out by accident at the corner 5. Bend it into disaster for all the riders who eventually left the race, because they fall in there.

Dovizioso battling with Simoncelli increasingly tense as the race just one lap remaining. Simoncelli recklessness yielded encouraging results, because she can finally overtook Dovizioso, and the spiky Italian managed to retain its position to touch the finish line.

Stoner Aware Pedrosa and Lorenzo in Upcoming Misano

Friday, September 2, 2011 | 0 comments

Repsol Honda team rider and a strong candidate for the 2011 season in MotoGP champion, Casey Stoner, said he should be aware of his team mate Dani Pedrosa and Jorge Lorenzo rivals at the San Marino Grand Prix. Second Spanish rider was known to appear extraordinary at Misano Circuit.

"I know Pedrosa and Lorenzo will be very fast at Misano. However, I came up with three consecutive victories and in a strong position in this championship," said Stoner, Tuesday (30/08/2011) in San Marino.

In 2007 and 2008 appear very fast Stoner at Misano, but failed in 2009. In 2010, Stoner had to fight hard to get good results. Despite appearances up and down in Misano, Stoner still hoping he can score good results in the small country.

"Let's see what happens. I'm sure will get good results this year," said Stoner.

Repsol Honda rider Dani Pedrosa's team wants to repeat the victory he achieved in the San Marino Grand Prix last year, this weekend. At that time, Pedrosa appear extraordinary since the last practice, qualifying, and win the race.

"After positive results in Indianapolis, I came to San Marino with a positive spirit. Years ago, I reached a good result at Misano Circuit, now I want to repeat it again and win," said runner-up in Indianapolis GP on Tuesday (30/08/2011) in the City of San Marino.

Pedrosa's victory in 2010 is the Honda team's first victory at Misano circuit, after 19 years never became champion at the San Marino GP. Honda team last won at Misano is a winner when Mick Doohan in 1991.

"In Misano, we need good acceleration and braking hard. We must be stronger during qualifying and preparing the best for the race. After the success in the U.S., I hope I can move better in Misano," said Pedrosa.

The 4 Top Rider in MotoGP 2011

Friday, August 26, 2011 | 0 comments

The dominance of four of the top MotoGP riders namely: Valentino Rossi, Jorge Lorenzo, Dani Pedrosa and Casey Stoner in the 2011 season may be blur by the increasing performance of Andrea Dovizioso, Ben Spies and Marco Simoncelli. But its seem candidates of world champion is still going to be this four rider attention in MotoGP. Let's find out the advantages and disadvantages for "alien" four rider.

Who will be the winner ?

Valentino Rossi

Plus:
Most experienced: no one doubt about his experience end of discussion. Rossi has been racing in top class since year of 2000 season and has collected seven world titles premier class.

Have the skill of motor development: The Doctor is one of the few MotoGP rider who has a motor skill development. Increasingly unmatched with the support of a reliable mechanic under the leadership of Jeremy Burgess.

Minus:
Age above 30 years: Rossi is the third oldest rider who competed in the 2011 season after Loris Capirossi and Colin Edwards. While other rivals on average are still U-25 ages. Plus a condition that has not fully recovered since the crash of the 2010 season.

Great in bend: Why a great bend i put in minus? Yes, with his remarkable late break skills, Rossi was very good at deceiving his opponents in the corners. But it might not be much help when he was riding a Ducati as its well-known hard-turning bike. Unless Rossi and the team could make a GP11 so agile as M1.

Jorge Lorenzo

Plus:
Already been set-up determines the motor itself: when he first coming to Yamaha, Lorenzo can not freely adapt the technical data of The Doctor. Apart from the differences in tire supplier, both has also different management. 2010 season is more severe with the omission of data exchange between Rossi & Lorenzo. All the limitations did not prevent him to play well in his first three seasons in the premier class.

Have his own riding style: many say his racing style adopt from Rossi. Regardless of whether true or not those views, its clearly visible Lorenzo wasn't adopt Rossi foot down style when cornering.

Minus:
Do not have experience in developing motor: This is the first year as leader rider of Yahama for Lorenzo. That can make it also became his first experience leading research and development of the motor. Although it must be proved.

The Ability to do dogfight is still lacking: Lorenzo must admit is still unable to compete with Rossi to have a duel head to head until the finish line.

Dani Pedrosa

Plus:
Very good in Start: no doubt of Pedrosa skills in doing a brilliant start. Not just in taking pole position but also when he had to start the race from the middle row. If successful to escape from in early laps then it is very difficult for other riders to chase.

Adaptation time was the longest: the 2011 season Pedrosa became the longest surviving in a single team. Dani has joined the Repsol Honda team since he was first climbed into the top class in 2006. So, Pedrosa would have the longest time to adapt compare to other riders.

Minus:
Tiny body: His posture among MotoGP rider was postute and could be a distinct advantage. His Motor could run faster because the burden is lighter. But his small body could be a disaster when it crashed. Most likely that The Little Spaniard bounced from his motorcycle.

Ability to fight is still lacking: as a result his to often leave his rival since the start, the ability to fight in close range was still less for Pedrosa.

Casey Stoner

Plus:
Quickly adapted: in his first season with Ducati in 2007, Stoner immediately became world champion. This proves the Australian rider was able to adapt quickly to his new ride. When he tried the Honda RC212V the first time at Valencia circuit in November 2010, Stoner also showed a great result

Being able to do a good start: like Pedrosa, Casey Stoner also able to make a perfect start.

Minus:
Has not proved to able to develop a motor: appear to dominate the 2007 season was not continued in the next season. Ducati experiencing problems that can not be solved by Stoner. To the extent that Ducati have to bring in his former rider, Sete Gibernau, to find out the root of the problem. Then in 2007 development of motor project is still headed by Loris Capirossi.

Often falls: in 2006 as MotoGP rookie the name was twisted to Casey "Crasher" Stoner. That's due to the frequent falls, both during practice sessions, qualifying and race time. Until the 2010 season ago, these bad habits are still common.

The decisions above is base on my personal opinion. An advantage may also not be able to show its full potential. Race is race, anything can happen in the tarmac.....

Pedrosa Need Adjusment on His Riding Style for 1000cc

Thursday, August 18, 2011 | 0 comments

Dani Pedrosa, who won two victories in his debut MotoGP with 990cc engines in 2006, a chance to experience 1.000cc engine that will be used in the 2012 season. The Spaniard is doing his first test at Brno on Monday (08.15.11).

Actually, Pedrosa's RC213V machine is scheduled to be tried in May. However, he failed to fulfill his desire to conduct such tests, due to injuries suffered during the race at Le Mans, France.

Well, in his debut with the new bike, Pedrosa managed to complete 37 laps to record his best time of 1.096 seconds adrift of the fastest rider, Casey Stoner, Repsol Honda team-mate. After the trial, Pedrosa admitted that he needs to do the adaptation of the style of racing.

"My first impression in the morning, similar to how I feel when our first look at MotoGP, because you can feel the difference in terms of torque and power," said Pedrosa, who crashed while leading the Czech Republic Grand Prix on Sunday (14.08.11) .

"Maybe I still race with 800cc style and I still need more understanding and try to drive it again in a different way. But, the bike worked well.

"We will make some modifications, so that the final version will be very different from the bike today. But this is normal and a good first impression.

"Compared to the 900cc era, which I drove in 2006, a very similar thing is power. Nevertheless, the distinction is in terms of reaction and heavy, because it is lighter."

Pedrosa also acknowledged, there are positive developments on the chassis of the motor, since the first time Stoner test at Jerez. Only, he can not make any conclusions until the end of construction in the 2012 season Bridgestone tires.

"I tried a bike with an attempted protype Casey at Jerez, as well as other motors with a few modifications, and it was a little better," explained Pedrosa.

"We should be very careful with the chassis, as it may tire the next year is slightly different in terms of construction, which of course will give effect to the chassis."
