Traction the front tires to be the main factor that makes Lorenzo performed poorly for 28 laps. In fact, early in the race he had fought for the podium fight number one, because it was beating Stoner and Dani Pedrosa to compete with.

What power, Lorenzo must accept the bitter truth. Starting mid-race, the bike's performance goes down, so he was not only far behind Stoner and Pedrosa, but instead dilibas Yamaha teammate, Ben Spies, who ultimately entitled to occupy the top three.

We see so many riders are experiencing problems this week with the front tire. (Marco) Simoncelli should decrease the speed, more than that we experienced, and Valentino (Rossi) can never be fast .

"Many of the riders face the problems and the others got a good taste on the front and not confront the question of the track conditions. It is difficult to understand, but it turned out like this. Hopefully in the next tracks are different, because the asphalt was different."

Lorenzo added that he had hoped the change in setting the bike will help solve the problems faced. Unfortunately, it did not fit the scenario.

"We hope to solve the problems concerning waves on the track, but I do not have traction. When I was warming up, I get a lot of traction than qualifications, so I am very optimistic that we've solved this problem. But problems began to appear on the seventh lap and I do not can do anything.

"It's a shame; I think could cut the gap with Casey at Indy, but since the first workout I've got a lot of problems regarding the asphalt and the front wheels. I saw three other riders in front, and the tires they are perfect.

"I do not know if it's because the track and not just speak my mind. Now, the competition became more complicated."

3rd Place Was Maximum Achievement - Spies

Ben Spies deplored the nudge in the first round that made him fail to win at the Indianapolis Grand Prix. Spies look fantastic but it can only grab the third podium.

Spies who started in second position immediately dropped to fourth at the first corner. On the fourth corner, Spies brushed with the Repsol Honda rider Andrea Dovizioso and slipped to ninth.

"After that incident, I had to try hard to pass other riders, one by one. I had to overtake creatively in a corner because it is impossible to overtake on the straight path," said Spies, Sunday (28/08/2011) at Indianapolis.

When I finished third, Spies see Dani Pedrosa was second too far in front of him. Spies can not be forced to pursue Pedrosa because the tires were much used to overtake other riders to get their third position.

"I've been doing our best to get this result. My efforts have the maximum to appear in the third podium, in front of my supporters," said Spies.

Rossi: "Semoga Update Komponen Segera Datang"

Balapan Indianapolis terlihat seperti balapan terburuk Rossi dalam musim ini, hal ini dipicu oleh crash di awal sesi kualifikasi menghancurkan motor pertamanya yang sudah disetel sesuai dengan target kerja mereka akhir pekan ini. Rossi terpaksa menggunakan motor kedua yang notabene memiliki setelan yang berbeda.



Ketika ditanya apakah ini adalah balapan tersulit Rossi dalam musim ini, Rossi meresponnya dengan penuh canda seperti biasanya.

"Apakah ini adalah titik terendah? Susah mengatakannya, karena sejauh ini ada sangat banyak kondisi yang buruk. Kami berharap bisa melakukannya lebih baik, karena ketika kami melakukan sedikit perubahan pada saat warm up pagi hari dan motor tidak terlalu buruk sehingga membuat kita berada pada pace yang sama dengan Bautista dan Edwards. Sore ini motor jadi lebih sulit untuk dikendarai dan aku kehilangan grip ban depan dimanapun. Saat itu aku tidak memiliki grip, aku sangat kesulitan, jadi aku memutuskan untuk tetap di belakang. Kemudian aku memiliki masalah besar dengan girboks dimana transmisi sering tersangkut di netral. Hal ini yang membuatku loss beberapa kali di tikungan pertama. Aku kehilangan banyak waktu untuk mengurusi kopling sepanjang balapan."

Kondisi sangat buruk ini sempat membuat Rossi untuk mengambil langkah yang lebih ganas, yaitu berhenti dari balapan.



"Aku bahkan berfikir untuk kembali ke pit, tapi aku lebih memilih untuk terus dan mencoba untuk mendapatkan poin. Sepertinya crash saat kualifikasi kemarin menghancurkan banyak hal. Dengan motor ini kamu bisa mencapai performa tertentu, tapi ketika kamu mencoba melewati batasnya, kamu akan crash. Kemudian kamu harus mulai kembali dari nol dan kembali ke level yang sama tidaklah gampang."



"Jujur aku tidak tahu apa lagi yang harus kami lakukan. Dalam beberapa hal kami sadar betul dengan kondisi front end dan rear end kami, karena kami telah mencoba semuanya. Timku bekerja lebih lama pada akhir pekan ini daripada yang mereka lakukan tahun lalu di Yamaha. Akan ada update yang terbaru dan kami berharap segera datang."

Bagaimana Masa Depan Dovi?

Hubungan antara Andrea Dovizioso dan Honda yang telah berlangsung selama hampir 10 tahun ini sepertinya akan berakhir. Walaupun negosiasi mengenai kontraknya untuk tahun depan masih berlanjut, tetapi pabrikan Jepang ini masih belum memberikan penawaran yang diinginkan oleh Dovi, yaitu full factory support. HRC yang berencana akan kembali hanya mengusung dua pembalap pabrikan ini menginginkan Dovi untuk membalap di Tim Honda LCR. Pertanyaannya adalah apakah Honda akan memberikan mesin spek pabrikan untuk dipakai oleh tim satelit?

"Aku ingin tetap berada di Honda dengan menggunakan motor spek pabrikan. Indy dan Misano akan menjadi dua balapan yang penting, terutama setelah podiumku dengan Honda di Brno. Kami akan bicara lagi pada hari sabtu dan minggu, barang kali ada perubahan. Lalu kita akan meeting di Italia."

"Berkendara untuk tim satelit dengan menggunakan motor satelit merupakan suatu kemunduran yang besar untukku dan hal itu tidak masuk akal melakukannya. Mungkin hal itu bisa saja terjadi pada tahun ini, karena tidak banyak pekerjaan mengembangkan motor, tapi update motor akan sangat krusial pada tahun 2012 nanti. Aku tidak yakin kalau aku akan tetap menjadi pembalap Honda, dan ini adalah keadaan yang mengecewakan. Aku meningkat sedikit demi sedikit, aku mendapatkan hasil terbaikku, dan sekarang aku berada dalam situasi seperti ini."



Alternatif yang paling masuk akal adalah berpaling ke arah lain, salah satu peluang yang ada yaitu dari Yamaha yang kelihatannya cocok dengan riding style Dovi.



"Dari luar terlihat cocok, tapi kamu tidak akan tahu pasti hingga kamu benar-benar mengendarai motor tersebut. Hal inilah yang membuatku melirik Yamaha, walaupun tanpa kontrak pabrikan, hal ini akan menjadi opsi yang menarik. Motor 1000cc mereka kelihatannya sangat kompetitif di Brno kemarin, mungkin malah lebih kompetitif dari yang diduga. Aku telah mengontak Tim Tech 3, tapi kami belum bernegosiasi. Tapi ini adalah pilihan untuk dievaluasi dengan serius, terutama jika Honda tidak bisa memberikan dukungan pabrikannya padaku pada tahun 2012 nanti."



Kelihatannya pilihan Dovi berakhir disana dan terbatas hanya pada Yamaha.



"Aku sudah bicara dengan Suzuki, tapi tujuan mereka tidak sejalan denganku. Ducati ingin menang dan aku sangat suka mentalitas mereka, tapi saat ini mereka sedang berada pada situasi yang tak terduga. Mengalahkan Rossi dengan menggunakan motor yang sama sangat berarti bagiku."
