The 2006 world champion had to undergo tests at Jerez because Valentino Rossi could not take part. Hayden was soon forced to fly from Kentucky to Europe to replace Rossi, who injured his right hand little finger fractures due to falls on the first lap in the Japanese GP, two weeks ago.

Rossi's withdrawal makes Hayden has the first chance to try the motor frame of aluminum, which has been used since the race Rossi at Motorland Aragon, last month. Framework is designed in Bologna and assembled by a factory in England which is a specialist in solving problems FTR flavor on the front-end.

"We tested well and the team worked very hard. We will not know what has been achieved to when we were together with another rider and is on the same track. But, of course we still have a lot of work," said Hayden.

"For the first time, I ride a bike with an aluminum front frame, and they've made a good step, although we have not overcome all the problems. We have many things to try, but it was a good move."

"That's why when Valentino tried to bike, he was so desperate and choose start from pit lane because it is a good step."

Ducati team's crew chief Jerry Burgess said the changes are the best breakthrough since November last year. The modification includes changes to the front axle that gave Rossi flexibility at the base of the fork. Changes were also tested on a motorcycle Hayden used to GP11.1.

Hayden can feel a big improvement on the performance of the front of his motorcycle. However, it can not be applied in Indianapolis next week.

"I tried for two hours and no progress. More easily controlled and I can feel the front tires better. However, we do not have a lot of these parts so I had to return it," said Hayden.

Nicky Hayden will follow the footsteps of his teammate, Valentino Rossi, who first uses Desmosedici GP Dutch GP11.1 since June 25. "The Kentucky Kid" will use a hybrid bike 800cc engine chassis 2012 and is currently appearing before the public in Indianapolis next week.

2006 world champion decided to switch from GP11 because he was successful in early trials this weekend at Brno Circuit. After the Czech Republic Grand Prix last weekend, Ducati focus to develop a 800cc engine - unlike the Honda and Yamaha are tried-and machine-1.000cc Hayden satisfied.

In fact, Hayden has also got a chance to try the new bike at Laguna Seca in June. But the former Repsol Honda rider was not feel comfortable, so he remained until the series to use the GP11-11 in the Czech Republic last August 14.

Now, the new motor was already experiencing a number of modifications. GP11.1 get updates on the swingarm, gearbox and engine. As a result, in trials in Brno, the Hayden recorded the best time of 1 minute 57.533, which is almost 0.7 seconds faster than his best lap with GP11 in the Czech Republic GP.

Therefore, Hayden, who was always picked up points in the 11 series already acted saying: "We do not record on the track or anything, but that for the first time I could ride all day GP11.1 and immediately felt good from the start.

"Basically I use the motor with the same standard, and then we started to make some changes to the normal setting and it could be faster. At the end of the day, I was able to complete seven or eight laps with an 57-second time and ended with 57 , 5, which is the best time with the tires.

"56-second's definitely more fun and it's still in the setup. But what fun this was due to progress. The plan we will use this bike at Indy, and we did not even send the old motor in there."

Hayden acknowledged, the greatest benefit derived from GP11.1 is a smooth transfer gearbox, as well as enter the bend.

Ducati Will Work on 800cc

Ducati has chosen not to do a comparison of head-to-head with two rivals, Honda and Yamaha, the 1,000 cc engine testing. The assurance follows the decision of the Italian team, which will use 800 cc engine in official practice on Monday (15.08.11), a day after the race at Brno, Czech.

However, it is not too surprising, given that Ducati had five times the test machine from the 2012 total of eight-day trial with a MotoGP rider, who was allowed during the year. Compare with Honda the only two times, while the Yamaha has never been.

At 1,000 cc previous tests, all the factories do it privately. However, this time, after the Czech GP, they will officially use the machine on the track. Only confirmed Honda and Yamaha will use the opportunity to try his 2012 motorcycle.

Meanwhile, Ducati decided that, Valentino Rossi and Nicky Hayden, will "dedicate the day to work on a 800 cc engine".

"The team tried to test some electronic systems that have been upgraded at Mugello, and we will use it on a post-race test at Brno to continue to improve the setting and reducing the gap with the group in front," said team manager, Vittoriano Guareschi.

"Filippo (Preziosi) will be there on Monday, and we will continue the development of GP11.1 together with Valentino and Nicky."

At this weekend's race, Rossi would still try GP11.1 that have been used since the Dutch GP June 25, while teammate, Hayden, who had also tried GP11.1 in the first free practice at Laguna Seca-stated his desire to use the GP11.

"Of course the test on Monday will be very important to us. I'll probably still ride the GP11 in the race and then try the new bike on Monday," said American rider.

Rossi and Hayden's performance throughout the 2011 season is not too satisfactory. They will be diving into the series-11 (from a total of 18 series) in Brno is the fifth and seventh in the standings, and each new one podiums.

Nicky Hayden Will Challenge Rossi

Ducati's poor performance since the start of the season making their two rider, Nicky Hayden and Valentino Rossi, is almost certainly out of competition for MotoGP world title in 2011. Nevertheless, the condition does not necessarily make Hayden discouraged because he had a special mission, namely to defeat Rossi.

Hayden, who in 2006 put an end to five consecutive years of success Rossi won the MotoGP world, declared that he would be very pleased and proud when able to realize those expectations. Therefore, the U.S. rider that still has a passion to beat "The Doctor".

Admittedly, Ducati far behind the two rivals, Honda and Yamaha. When two teams are vying to fight over the podium, the new Ducati just two podium finishes from a total of 10 series that has acted, who each won Rossi and Hayden. The reality is very different era Ducati Casey Stoner and Hayden.

Rossi is currently ranked fifth in the standings with 108 points, while Hayden finished seventh with 94 points. At the same time last season, Stoner (ranked third) already reaping 119 points and Hayden (sixth) collected 99 points.

Throughout his journey in the arena of MotoGP, Rossi has always been on a teammate. Just last year seven times MotoGP world champion is under Jorge Lorenzo, team mate at Yamaha, who eventually became world champion. Rossi must accept the fact finish in fourth place, following a fracture right leg injury.

"Currently we are the only team that amplified two world champions (MotoGP) so this is quite unique, and we also still be a good tandem," said Hayden, who grabbed the world title with the Repsol Honda team.

"Of course he and I want to beat each other. He was ahead 14 points and of course a great honor for me if I could beat him. He had grabbed nine world titles and has set the standard for the last decade."

"I've learned a lot from him. This motor is new to him, and he always wanted to know why, and I think now the results are not yet visible. But I think next year everything will be paid off when we came up with new rules and they go back to 1000 cc engine . "

"I think, have two strong riders are heading in the same will be better than the two riders wanting a different way."

In the 11 series in Brno, Czech Republic, this weekend, Hayden will use Ducati GP11.1. This will be the debut of "The Kentucky Kid" with a new motor, which had tested at Laguna Seca at the end of last month, before he decided to keep using the GP11.

Interesting to see Hayden competition with Rossi. They will use the same motor. Rossi himself had already been put on motor outcome "marriage" between the 800 cc engine and chassis of the 2012 Dutch Grand Prix since June 25

We Have No Problem With Sponsors - Cicognani

Ducati dismissed speculation that the sponsors big disappointment and will "run", following the poor performance of Valentino Rossi in the MotoGP 2011 season is. This Italian team confirmed that they still have the support to be bangki.

Indeed, when Ducati Rossi hook at the end of last season, high hopes were pinned to the MotoGP world champion seven times in order to bring this team back to success. Apparently the results were unexpected, because the performance of "The Doctor" very bad. Of the total 10 series already acted, nine-time world champion has only one motor racing podiums.

The same as Nicky Hayden, who has been in the squad the team based in Bologna since 2009, also only once on the podium. No wonder the rumors stating that the tobacco company Phillip Morris, who has become a major sponsor since 2003, was disappointed. The giant company, which has invested millions of pounds, Ducati demanded to immediately get up.

"The first person is not satisfied with the results achieved is a Ducati, Valentino and Nicky," said Alessandro Cicognani boss told Motorcycle News. "All partners are very supportive of us. They know that we're working hard and only this way we know - work hard and solve some problem to get better.

"We do not have a big thing about the sponsorship issue. We must continue to work and not give up, either on the track, and especially in the factory."

Actually, Ducati had to find a way to overcome the obstacles faced since the beginning of the season. They give a new motor Desmosedici GP11.1 to Rossi, who wore the Dutch Grand Prix since June 25. However, the results obtained was disappointing, because in the four races he consistently closed to within about 30 seconds of speed racer a winner. Whereas when using GP11, he usually left only 15 seconds - and only seven in Catalunya.

Poor performance with Ducati Rossi invited a lot of concerns. Former teammate at Yamaha, Jorge Lorenzo, also very surprised by Rossi achievement, who currently is ranked fifth standings. Defending champion from Spain, which currently is ranked two, said: "Valentino's surprise appearance. I think he will be more up front, at least grab a lot of podiums.

"But now he could only achieve a podium and that's only because the two drivers ahead of him fall ... rider-like Randy de Puniet or Karel Abraham can sometimes be faster than him.

"But I was also surprised by the appearance of Casey in recent years with Ducati ... he was able to win some races and fight to win the world title, while all the other riders so hard with the bike."

Stoner, who now leads the standings with 193 points, leaving Ducati at the start of the season, to join the Repsol Honda. Australian rider became the most successful people on the Ducati, since becoming world champion in 2007.

"I've never ride a bike. This is a bike that they think will be a step forward," said Stoner, 20 points ahead of Lorenzo.

"I'm sure, if he's still at Yamaha, he would push for victory."
