Shuhei Nakamoto, said that the future Marco Simoncelli and Andrea Dovizioso will be determined during the race at Indianapolis on 28 August. In the series of the 12th, the two drivers that will determine whether they are still with the team who are now or have to leave.
Last month, Nakamoto has given a statement that Honda will trim the budget to MotoGP next season. That is, the factory team from Japan's only going to use two motors in the 2012 season, HRC currently uses three-rider team.
Explicitly, Nakamoto said the only rider will be used are Dani Pedrosa and Casey Stoner. They also give an indication of the strengthening will displace Simoncelli Honda Gresini team.
However, Nakamoto also admitted to not too happy with the performance of two Italian riders. However, Honda is still look the opportunity to retain them, and his decision is expected out within the next two weeks in Indianapolis.
"I'm not happy about them," said Nakamoto quoted as saying by Gazzetta dello Sport. "Marco look good during qualifying, but he faced many problems during the race. Andrea has improved, he was third in the standings. But he's not at the top. We want to win, and at present they have not grabbed it.
"But we want to hold them and will try to do it, although this was a difficult period. To be sure, as the racing department, there will be a decrease in our budget, which will be defined in September."
"But we can not wait that long: we need to find a deal in Indianapolis. We'll talk with Simoncelli and Dovizioso, and we will try to hold them. We do not have priority because they both have positive and negative sides."
If so, this is a decision which is quite ironic to reality over the weekend in Brno, Czech Republic. In racing series to the 11th, Sunday (14.08.11), Dovizioso and Simoncelli look impressive, so they climbed the podium.
Pedrosa slipped and fell when it failed to continue the race, Dovizioso and Stoner, Simoncelli be a companion to win this race. Dovizioso in second and Simoncelli end the crisis with a podium finish in three.
Nakamoto also said Gresini have to pay so I can get another motor on the start of next season. He also suggested that the German rider, who now leads the standings Moto2, Stefan Bradl, could strengthen the Honda next year.
